Hey everyone, I am wondering what you all think the price of a used 2008 will go for in the next 6-12 months with the economy getting worse etc...? If you guys don't think it will drop I will probably just go with a 2006. Thanks everyone for their help.

price will be depending on color imo ssg and ornages with low miles will be getting the most in resale .im hoping values will stay strong with those colors.06 are going real low at this time.if your in the market get one now and enjoy the car life is short

It'll drop some, but nowhere near the levels of the '06s- new hood, new tires, new wheels, 600 hp, etc. will keep the value reasonably high. My guess is for ssg and gts blue to be the highest value by color.

06's had MAJOR factory discounts on them as they were not selling. All 06 prices reflect that dealer discounting. 08's are sold out, big difference. Plus the improvement in HP and the special colors.

There are a few used 2008s on ebay that look like they may go for 60 or under.

Is getting a deal on an 08 for 55-60k far fetched a year from now, considering I'm already seeing 08s go for around 65-70k right now.

08s (Brand new) are going for mid to upper 60s... NOW. I know several people that got killer deals. IE... One guy I know just traded his 01 GTS and $25K for a brand ne blk with silver stripes 08 coupe. Yes, a coupe... IF, I mean if the 01 is worth $40K, the selling price was $65K. The 01 might be worth less in todays market which would make the new car even cheaper...

Basic Econ 101 - supply and demand. The 08 and 09's may be getting cheap right now, but in the long run, they will hold up well.

How could '08 be sold out if every dealer/sponsor on this board has them sitting on their showroom floors? Also, from what other people on this thread are saying, the '08s are already selling lower than the '06s did.

Maybe what is meant is that Dodge sold all their Vipers to dealers, now the dealers must sell them.

Have you checked Woodhouse? I was there last week and they had 40 new Vipers in stock of various combinations. Give Bill P. a call, it's worth asking.

He said that 7 months ago. My how times have changed. I thought the new 08 vert for 61K was a little low even for the current economic climate, but now there's another with 1K miles for 62K.

eBay Motors: Dodge : Viper (item 110333643935 end time Jan-10-09 17:46:16 PST)

Wow, that's a lot of car for 60K.
