how good of a driver are you? A 97 Viper with simple exhaust mods and intake will break 11's if you can handle the ungodly torque.

On street tires I cannot get under 8 seconds in the 1/8 mile. I've tried every kinda launch and temperatures have ranged from 90+ degrees to mid-40's before the end of the season in November. Strange thing is, I can turn a tick over 12 in the 1/4. The 1/8 mile times are obviously traction limited. I'll get some slicks this spring. Cold street tires on a Viper = DANGER.

My first (and only) time at the drag strip in my 97 GTS I pulled a best of 12.27 and was consistently pulling 12.3x's. Very light mods on my car and it really comes down to the driver. Could only pull 60' times of 2.0 and am sure I'd be in the 11's if I could drive!!

Are your numbers correct ? In my f-body if I tune it to run a 7.00 1/8 that is a 11.00 1/4 mile. A 7.5 would equal a 12.00. Anyway a stock Viper with radials should be 11.90 to 12.20 and 7.90 to 8.20 and seem much faster than those times from a roll.

the only time I ran the 1/4 mile was before we went into the engine it ran in the hight 12's and low 8's to high 7's so I just est low 12 down the 1/4 mile.
