Radar-Bell 980, ****** 8500, or Val1 ???

I've had the ******, didnt really care for it. I purchased a Val1, love it. Its very accurate, minimal false alarms, saved me a couple time.

I have the ****** and the Valentine 1. No scientific tests but
I find the V1 to be more informative and I have more confidence in its information, I also use the remote display with it and really like that option.

Nothing will detect instant on over a hill.

Unfortunately that is what I have been caught on 3 times.

But the best IMO V1.

hi,

i have an ****** 8500. My buddy has a V1 (not a new V1, his is like 3 years old). He consistently starts braking way before me, even when he is behind me, when approaching the police radar traps. This highly unscientific field test, which we have repeated on many weekends, has proven at lest to me that the V1 picks up the radars much earlier than the ****** 8500.

So i'm in the business of upgrading my detector to a V1 now.
I wish the V1 folks had a trade in program, my 8500 is less than 6 months old...
