Do you think the rain mode for 2014 improves the all weather performance and to what extent?

There's a rain mode in the new Viper? :omg:

What is the world coming to? :dunno:

..........are they trying to make the Viper into a car?

What's next.......................a back seat for children?

...more cupholders?

automatic dual climate control?

smoother running engine with quiet exhaust?

ultra-soft suspension setting?

..........LEV / hybrid technology?

heated seats?

......:nono:

Why would anyone want to drive their brand new Viper in the rain?-Oh I guess to see how the rain mode works-makes a lot of sense to me

I have driven in the rain but I have not used it. I think that it is primarily aimed at the non gear head, lower skill set driver who may need nanny tech protection from her or his own impulsiveness. It gives SRT the legal argument that if a Viper bite occurs in the rain when it is not turned on that it did not have to occur if they had used the rain mode. Makes sense to me.

It's a car, rain is not going to hurt it. It is always amusing the amount of people who think rain will melt the car or something. I have been caught in the rain numerous times in my 06 paxton and I am surprised the amount of grip it actually has. I took mine out numerous times this winter when it is in the 30's and it sure does run good when it is cold out.

Doctorbob I'm with you the Viper is an amazing car not a pastry that wilts in the rain. I do not purposefully drive in the rain but I also do
not worry if I'm caught in it! I detail the undercarriage 3 times a year at a minimum. You wouldn't know by looking at my car it's ever seen rain. Just picked up a new TA and I'm planning to drive it non-stop until the snow flies. My opinion only enjoy your car how it pleases you
But to drive the Viper is to fall in love!
