Rear Frame Recall : Need Pix

Had the rear frame recall mod executed on my 98 GTS and, having never seen one done before I have no idea whether it was done well or not. Anyone have pix in their gallery that'll show me what its supposed to look like so I can compare?

Go to the archives. There is tons of data on the recalls. The actual instructions from Chrysler runs 96 pages.

Check your front reinforcement gussets to make sure they were installed on the right side.

Can you get to your oil filter?

Is this recall done at dealer/manfacturer expense? Or, is it done at owner expense? It appears mine might be one of the affected cars . . .

Dodge contributes somewhere around $250 dollars if my memory serves me right.
The hard part is getting a dealer that is willing, and knowledgeable, to do it right.

Can you get to your oil filter?

Yes, if the recall is correctly done.

Lilviv, check last page of the recall "DaimlerChrysler will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor)". But as HP mentioned, to find the right dealer is another story.

So if you cant get to your oil filter, what does that mean? I have to jack the motor up to get mine out.....

It means somebody can't read directions and installed the triangle gussets ass-backward.
