Rendog, I just replaced the battery in my 96 GTS with an Optima 75-35 battery. It was a tight fit, but I don't need to worry about the battery leaking again since it is a completely sealed battery.

Just got my Optima 75-35 at Pep Boys ($109) today. I measured the verical hieght of the tray prior to purchasing the battery. My tray measured 7.75 in. I found out that the 75-35 height was 7.6 in. The info is found at...

The battery just slipped in with 1/16 in gap. Car started right up. I would not recommend cutting the post. Other have reported problems in doing this. You can do a search of this website to find some of the horror stories.
