These government mandated electronics are what drove the price of the new GEN V up. IMO they are an addition that ruins the experience and its the people that buy performance cars fault.
Like many of you, I am SCCA road racer. Yes, just like many of you I am not a poser, I have championships and track records (viper guys are pretty ********...possibly the ultimate ******** owners in the car industry). So I think you will know and understand this statement "I got the Viper ACR because it does not have traction control. Its part of the thrill of driving. I don't want that stuff."
Like many of you, I am not loaning my car to someone anyway and if someone can't operate a car of this caliber they should not own or drive it anyway.
I think there should be "levels" of drivers licenses. Like competition licenses. You should HAVE to go to driving schools for these higher powered cars and pass a test, just like we have to do in the SCCA. Now that guy who just won the lotto or the kid with the dad that bought him a 600 horsepower sports car for his 16th birthday won't lose control on the road in front of me and cross three lanes of traffic trying to gather the car back up (been there saw that).
Electronics, yaw control etc... allow idiots to think they are good drivers and they get up to higher speeds before things go really awry so the electronics can't fix it and the car tumbles down the highway and off into the trees.
Supercars, need drivers with Super Licenses. This will reduce accidents, insurance costs and keep our Super cars real cars that maintain the driving experience AND reduce the vehicles costs to engineer, build and when it gets to the customer, their cost purchase and to maintain.
