Removing side sill

One of the side-sills on my 1996 RT-10 has a nasty scratch and will require repainting. Is there anything I should know about removing the side sill? Thanks in advance!

That is a great post, but if you don't want to go to all of the trouble to do the nutzerts, you can get the next larger size hex head sheet metal screw from Home Depot with a small fender washer. That is for the holes that might strip or be loose. I plan on doing the nutzert thing next time mine are off, but I did do some new screws for a quick and more than adequate fix.

Also, the insulation in there can be a pain to reinstall. May need some patience going back on, or maybe practice once before you send it out for paint. Trial run.
