Well, it finally happened. My 97 developed the infamous IM gasket leak.

Me and a buddy are going to perform the operation when the parts arrive. Any tips, tricks or advise from those who have 'been there, done that' would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Chuck, Where does this leak usually ocurr? How many miles are on your car?

I just clicked over 3000 miles on my car. I'm not sure if there is a common place for them to leak; mine seems to be at the #10 cylinder port. This is 97 issue; other years didn't use the problematic (194F) gasket.

Was there a SB on it? Dodge may just do it for free. Doesn't hurt to ask. Try Shawn at Schaumburg Dodge, tell him I sent you, he may be able to swing it. Only 3,000 miles? Yikes.
