My goal is to run a 12.2 in my dad's stock GTS. I know it's not far off at all. I ran my best wed. night. 12.46 @ 116.98

2.03 is my best 60' so far. I couldn't break 112 MPH untill Mes told me to run 1st gear to 6k, then the rest at 5500rpm. If a little change like that can jump to 117, I wanna know if there is still something better.

I feel like the power dies after 5500, but it doesn' matter as much in 1st. Should I avoid wheel spin at all in 2nd gear???

Please help, some of you guys who have traped 120+ in your stock vipers!!! thank you.

I've recorded my best times & speeds by revving to 5,900 RPM. Shifting at 5,500 loses 2-4 MPH for me.
A little wheelspin in the 1-2 shift seems to be harmless.

Next time you're at the track, try recording your shift points on your timeslip after each run, and trying some variations. You can correlate those with your trap speeds to see which is giving you the best results.

Seems like FL times are always a couple tenths slower than everywhere else. I'm going to blame it on the atmosphere and not our ability.

5900 is pretty high for me. I've tried all the shift points and have settled into the 5300 to 5500 range with no wheelspin off the line. Lower your rear tire pressure to 21 lbs. Up the fronts to 40. I run consistant 12.3 @ 118 in my bone stock RT/10. Haven't drag'd my GTS yet.
