Side logo color (year question)

Simple question: What year did the SRT-10 (roadster) get the silver side logos instead of the body colored ones? I know 2006 already had the silver logos...

Can't give you a definitive answer but I know my 2006 GTS Blue convertible had silver side badges as does my 2008 GTS Blue convertible.

The '05 DID NOT come with silver side logos. They are body colored.

my '05 had body colored logos. my '08 came with the new silver and I didn't like the look so I used the VIN from my '05 to order body colored ones and put them on my '08

My 05 Commemorative Edition has chrome side logos. But then again it is a special edition.

Is it possible that maybe this is not so much year specific but more body color specific?? As in maybe the same model year they had used both silver and body color depending on the color??

Oh really, and it was a Viper Red one? There goes my theory that *all* 06 red Vipers had silver emblems. (My red 06 #1210 had silver emblems).

i got some prices off Chuck last week for silver 06 hood and bumper badges (not chrome) for some unknown reason even to Chuck a silver badge is a fortune, compared to red, blue, green which are just $20 each

FWIW, my original question was for identification purposes, or "if I see a red Viper with red emblems on the side, can I assume it's 2005 or older".

Obviously a Viper with body colored side emblems *can* be an early 2006 too...

Ditto! Our 2005 BLACK had BLACK lettering/numbers...we ordered chrome letters/numbers. The 2008 is staying the way it is, the GTS Blue just looks great! ~juli
