Slow learning ECU?

I'm curious to know if anyone's documented the ECU learning cycle of the Viper ECU? I've heard a number of anecdotal reports of new performance modifications not demonstrating their results for several hundred miles after installation, and I've also heard of cars showing immediate results. My '01 RT seems to be one of the slow learners...

p.s to Kenny's reply: The ECU is provoked into learning the idle program much faster if you turn the A/C ON !

And 3-4 10 minute On/Off/On run cycles {learn" more quickly than one 25-mile/or minute cycle.
