Even with check engine light on (MAP low voltage). Raced him from 60 to 160, i was in 3rd gear. Bike jumped out on me by 2 cars and by the time i hit 5th gear i passed him by and opened up 2+ cars on him at 160. This was done with 9D card and 91 octane

Would 2nd gear roll from 45 be better?

More boost would keep the bike from lower MPH jump.

A bike can never lose no matter who is riding it. Don't forget he paid way less than you did for your Viper. :p

Hmmmmm....
A good rider can bust high nines, low tens all day with a GSXR1000.
He must have sucked, or his bike was running crappy.

Just my two

I haven't seen any 9's, but a lot of low 10's. Everytime I am next to a bike at the strip they get out of the hole quicker, but then I start pulling them in!
Now from a roll, they don't have much of a chance(in stock form) against a modded Viper! In a 60-160 roll like VegasViper, well, he was 3-0!! :headbang:
At least that's my experience, and seems to be his too! :2tu:
Good job Vegas, sounds like fun!
Did you get a chance to see his face after the 1st run? That's always fun! :p

Vegas,

If you have stock gears, starting in 2nd would have been a much better bet, as long as you can get traction.... With your combo., I would think you shift around 5750RPM. So here you go:

*******1st----2nd---3rd-----4th--------5th
5750rpm 0-53 54-80 81-109 110-141 142-191++
