So I\'m driving cross country...who wants to meet me?

I'm leaving NYC on 27th and be in Chicago that night. After that I was thinking of stopping by Woodhouse in Omaha for a night with Bill Pemberton ;-) if he is around. Next would be Salt Lake City and then San Jose.

Any members want to meet me during my trip?

I'll buy you dinner at your first NorCal VCA meeting. It's the first Tuesday of every month, so just a few days after you arrive.

Bring the Viper, bugs and all (it'll make my Graphite GTS look clean!) They block off a street for us* and have a guard, so very, very safe.

I did this trip with a Dodge Stealth R/T in 2001 in 43 hours from Mountain View,Ca to Montreal,Qc. Just one stop in Wyoming because of a rain. I got only one ticket in Nevada from an officier called Peter Hansen. He was a real gentlement. Actually he saved me a lot of monney. When I arrived in Utah there was a big Safari between Wendover and Salt Lake City. I was only driving at 80mph so they never stopped me. The best part of the trip is between Salt Lake City and Evanston when you climb the mountains. The curbs are fantastique. Actually you will go down on that section of the highway.

There is a nice museum somewhere in Nebaraska on the Cold war along the I-80. I have visited that place back in May 2000. Worth to stop for an hour of rest.

COOL, actually I was looking there for a place to rent. They have some nice town houses there. You will hear me first as I'm going with no cats!

Sounds like a fun trip. I'm in the Quad Cities, Bettendorf, IA - about 3 hours west of Chicago. If you're going west via I 80 or I 88 you'll pass right through the Quad Cities en route to Woodhouse. Let me know when and we can meet for lunch, wings, barley pops, etc..

Do your self a favor coming out of Salt Lake City, take I80 West through Wendover and Elko, then 20 miles later when you hit Carlin take route 278, (open road, no traffic, there are sections you can push your car as fast as your nerve will take you) You can then break off at Eureka to either Ely and hit route 318 if your going to Vegas, or go west to Austin on 50, and head into Reno (You can give me a ring) or you can take route 376 and head into Tonopah.

How are you getting to Chicago? NY 90 to OH or the PA route?

Did my buddies over at the MGM or Studio 54 say something about that one chick that one night?

The meeting time is flexible.

Most people get there between 5:30PM and 6:30PM.

If you want to make the trip in one day, you probably won't have much time to meet with people along the way.
