Soft Top Maintenance

I recently purchased an 04 Mamba. Since this is my first convertible, I am curious about maintaining the soft top. Are there any special soaps or cleaning techniques used? What about fading? Is it common and are there any chemicals or sealers keep the top in like new condition and maximze longevity?
