Does anyone know of a car show or other automotive event coming up in the next 60 days where a VCA member with an SRT/10 on-order might be able to see one?

I just went to the Orange County auto show in Southern California, and the DC people told me that there were no more to display because they have sold through the 2003 model year.?? Sounds like a mis-informed rep to me...

NJ region is considering a quick flight to CAAP. How 'bout we make it a multi region event?

I just spoke to Sylvia at the plant no tours are being scheduled at this time. She said to check back in 2 to 6 weeks for tours. I have 3 from the Oklahoma/Texas area that would be interested in joining a group for a tour

I just returned from Las Vegas and they have a red SRT in the MGM Grand casino. I spent many dollars trying to win it...it's still there!

No kidding? An 03 SRT as the slot prize at the MGM? The MGM, going way back to the mid 90's, always has had a Viper as the top prize for a quarter slot carousel located along the isle from the tower elevators leading to the food court. Since I'm arriving in Vegas early tomorrow morning myself, the MGM will certainly be my first stop leaving the airport. There HAS to be much more to this story. As far as I know, it's not even LEGAL yet for "the general public" to own one, so how could the MGM offer it as a prize? In Vegas..... since forever..... if you WIN, they have to pay you almost immediately. Has to be some fine print somewhere on the display......, or????????

Now, I DO expect to see one at the usual DC display as part of SEMA. I'll report on that this coming Tuesday.

I just talked to Kingman, and he said there is indeed a "final version" SRT-10 above the slot machines at the MGM Grand as in the past..... BUT there a big plaque on each slot machine that say's

"You are not playing for the actual vehicle, if the MGM Grand is not able to get you one within 30 days of your winning, you will have an option of receiving an equivalent amount in cash"

I guess if you want to wait, you'd still be able to win an SRT-10

I saw a red one at the Seattle auto show, last thursday 11/07/02.
I think the show lasts until the weekend.
It's in the Seahawks Exhibition Center. Take i-90 west all the way, and it gets you right there.

My thought about the car: nice car, not a viper though.

went to the auto show in miami today and spotted the two srt-10 there also. my wife liked the red one... i liked the silver one... but overall impression was that we weren't overly impressed.

don't get me wrong, there were people that were going ga ga over the viper and it will probably be a popular car and be very fast... but this was just our view...

it looks nice... but not outstanding as i feel the older design was. we looked at the car and commented how "this piece" and "that piece" looked like "this car" and "that car" and i think that is the issue that some may initially have with this car (and who knows... over time, my views may change and i may end up going ga ga over it)... the previous gen vipers were like and looked like no other on the market at the time. this new viper has taken a lot of current styling cues and blends right in with the current market. but they did look really nice in person. anyone else go to the miami show? their views on the srt?

i actually thought that the hottest car at the show (outside from the million dollar alley of aston martin vanquishes, diablos and ferraris) was the Mercedes Benz SL-55. Oh my that was sweet!
