God knows the IL gang is a group that enjoys performance driving. Well, the SRT Track Experience will be in town, it would be a great time for those interested to pick the same day so we can be together.
They will be at the Autobahn Country Club on august 9th (Saturday). They’ll be there for a few days, but we’re choosing August 9th (Saturday) as a common day for us all if you’d like to schedule the same day we do. Seems to usually be the best day.
For all folks who have bought a new SRT vehicle in the last year, it’s completely free to you! Don't let the opportunity go by!!! If you haven’t recently purchased a new vehicle, you can also choose to pay, it costs $500 for a full day (WELL worth the money). You can read people's experienced on this website, nothing but good things.The track experience is a program that allows you to drive a lot of SRT cars in different situations (autocross, drag, wet course, slalom, etc…). The instructors teach you car control and spend time improving your skill. It’s a fun event, not very intense at all. It’s great for beginners to performance driving.
No, you do not drive your own car, they provide all the cars (including the Vipers)! It's a popular event and they come to town once a year. You can check out their website and sign up. If the date doesn’t work for you, feel free to pick another. We just figured it would be fun going as a group. And since August is a warm month for us, you can bet we have a good shot at some great weather.
Their website is www.drivesrt.com. You must register beforehand. These events do sell out, usually the Saturday event is the first to go. So if you want to go, move fast. You’ll need your VIN number to register. On their website you'll also find videos so you can see exactly what it's like.
