steering problem/airbag light

took the car in for service and when the tech turned the wheels all the way something in the steering column broke and the airbag light is now on. Anyone had this problem before? Some kind of spring in there they had to order. Anyone else ever experience this?

sounds like the clockspring. it has the connection for air bag to ECU and can break. about $150 plus labor (or warranty). Not too hard if they follow alignment steps.

Yes, it's the clockspring. I had one break in my Ram truck. Probably the same part number.
