What a spectacle this event is. This is my first time attending. Was pretty busy getting the car ready but did meet fellow VCA member Ronne Kooser from Kansas City with his beautiful Very Viper Orange/Black stripe '08 Coupe. Only managed to get a few pics but will take more today as well as some video. I hit my goal of breaking 180 with a 181.4 mph run yesterday so I may take the whole day off and run tomorrow. Saturday is the busiest day.

They laid crushed rock down on the taxiway and for some odd reason, it sticks to my drag radials like flies on fly paper. I have yet to see anyone else have this problem. I have to scrape them off every time I go to run or it's like driving on marbles. I tried cleaning them off one time by doing a burnout but that did not work.

I was at the trailer in your first photo, all weekend long, but didn't introduce myself because I was Viperless this weekend :(

Congrats on the 185.3!

Your graphite coupe looks great in person. That was me in the blue/white coupe above. Only got two passes in on Sat before I had to leave, went 180.8 mph

Stock engine with stock exhaust manifolds/cats, Paxton, mufflers. 5th gear really ***** in this car, RPM drop was so low coming out of 4th that I basically ran on no boost in 5th. Need more power :)

If I remember correctly from what Ron said this event sells out quick each year when it opens up. Hoping to see his pictures too.

Yes, it sells out and there's a waiting list. They let everyone on the waiting list run this time. :dunno:

Tiago,

One of your pics is an all black Gen IV viper with what looks like an aero wing. Was that the twin turbo that Underground developed? If so, did you see its times in the mile?

Thanks,
Larry

Ford GT went 257.x on this last round (March). LMR's camaro went 253.x. I don't recall any fast Supras. Fastest viper was ART with a low 240 pass. A naturally aspirated heads/cam GenIII went 191.5

They autobahn supra has hit in the 240's. It uses to have one of the fastest times. SW had a supra in the 240's there as well but is owned by someone else. I wonder why UGR didn't bring out an R package lambo

Hmmm, that's impressive for a Gen III :2tu: I wonder who's car did that, I like to meet that guy ;)

A fairly stock Gen IV with catback at the event owned by VCA Member FrgMstr trapped 170.9mph

Hell of a fun time too. :) 2.5" Corsa catbacks and Mopar PCM are only mods, dynoed 565rwghp before PCM. (And the Mopar PCM means nothing in terms of HP, I put it on for better throttle response.) I guess I could have done a couple miles faster, but my first run was limited to 160mph to get my license, and my second run (which was still in the nice cool dense air) I fubarred and missed 5th gear 3 times. After that I got my shifting down but the temp was going way up.
