F500 is a single seater class in scca.Like a large go cart with a full single seater body.Open wheels.Powered by a 500cc 2 stroke.Weighs around 600 lbs? Many are faster than a FF2000.Can be hauled on a snowmobile trailer. Can probably pick up a good used one for less than $10,000.Inexpensive,easy to maintian.A lot faster than a Viper at the track. Yep thats it!Formula chain saw.A lot faster than I want to go.I have been yanking your chain.Hope you don't mind. The difference in speed between a purpose built race car and a hot street car is amazing.Even 30 years ago 60 HP FV's were doing 1:03 at lime rock.Sure there was no chicane then but they (we) were also running in a swarm of traffic.
