That is only a resistor that modifys the incoming signal that the PCM see. It has been noted that the stock location of the air temp sensor will cause high than actual readings. It plays havoc with a Roe S/C(usually attributed to the V-notch). Will it help? Who know, but you can get the same thing from your local radio shack for $.50.
