I would just like to verify if a "Growl"-"Whine" is normal from the transmissions in our snakes...It is most noticable to me in 5th and 6th gear and is quite annoying...Assuming it is normal I will have to just drown it out with my new exhaust system on it's way !!

Thanks for your input here............

Does the noise change if you let off the gas and then lightly get back on the gas?You may have a rear diff makeing noise which is not unheard of.If it is the rear end it is not a durabilty issue only a annoying noise that a good exhaust system will take care of.

It doe's change with tip in/out of the throttle, I suspected the rear end but the noise seems to be more forward from the trans shifter area...??

I will be having a complete new 3:54.1 diff installed soon and then I guess I will know for sure!

It also seems like the noise gets worse after driven awhile?

Thanks,
Jim
