The ad is just that European, Class Envy ploy, the socialist love to put on their people.

They don't mind ridiculing successful people and feeding [******] to less successfully.

That’s OK, I’ve never cared for any VW’s

Several of VW's ads lately are pretty lame.
This is a cheap shot in a 3rd grade humor way.

But I guess that the ad guys feel like they have to shoot for low blows when trying to sell a bland but somehow still awkward design. You had better not have an ego to drive one of the new funky VWs, with the slab sided design and the snorkel nose. :(

But it's true...
One in 167 men (0.6% of the male adult population) are under 3 inches!

I thought it was just a myth people joked about, until my wife saw these:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micropenis
http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn6761 (claims 7cm)

Oh my God - more than one in 200 men really do have a SERIOUS NEED to compensate!

Suddenly I understand why there are so many guys out there with something to prove. I think I'll buy some stock tomorrow in GM (Hummers and Corvettes for the, uh em, less common man...)

Wanna really know how you really size up?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penis_size
(scroll down, there's charts.)
...honey, come here a second and help me measure something! :2tu:

Present environmental conditions play a role in the size of a relaxed flaccid penis, in particular cool temperatures. One general physiological response to cold is decreased circulation of blood to the appendages. As the size of the penis very much relies on blood supply, this results in a decreased flaccid size.
What, like a button on a fur coat?

I tried to tell them this when I got out of the pool, but they just kept laughing!! heh heh!

That Wikipedia data sure gave me an ego boost! In fact, I'm feeling so confident, I can even go drive a Jetta now! :D

I had heard about this version but saw it for the 1st time today as well. I agree with you. This one goes over the line! I cant believe the FCC allowed it. Janet Jackson cant show an accidental boob, but we can make jokes about Viper owner's penises?!?! I think I'll drop the FCC and VW an email. Neither are going to be nice

I agree. Although language, body parts, and other "concrete" parameters of indecency are not obvious, there is still the kid factor to be concerned about. Although I personally don't have a problem with some off-color humor (see my posts in the alley!), I don't see why I should be forced by a commercial interest to explain things to my kids. When the girl in the Herbal Essences commercial is doing her rip-off of "When Harry Met Sally" I don't know why I should then be forced to approach a subject with my 9 year old daughter that I would not choose to of my own accord. "Gee, Daddy, why is that girl shouting like that?" We are ******* away our kids' innocence over a couple of yucks. Adults, no problem, but you never know who's watching.

Yeah... TV is so bad nowadays, I'm not looking forward to having kids. VW really should pull that version. Don't get me started on non-MTV (WHAT music? It's a wardrobe malfunction away to being kiddie ****.)

I saw a commercial for a cd where kids sing current pop songs and is supposed to be "kid friendly". Imagine my surprise when one of the song's lyrics goes: "I don't want to be lonely no more... I don't want to have to pay for this..."

"Daddy... what's he paying for?"

And if you bought the cd, the lyrics following the above that I heard: "I don’t want another lover at my door... It’s just another heartache on my list." Geeeeez

I don't have any kids so I didn't think about the "kid factor"
I suppose it is kinda bad when you have to "explain" what the ad means to a young child...point taken.....
I guess they should show those only late night or something.........But it's still funny...

On the surface, it IS funny to a point. But the ad really hurts VW more than helps. It's just bad marketing all around.
