I'm sure this has been done before, but that was then.

Time for a new survey on the miles you guys are putting on your rides.

Mine is getting "up there" at 20,000 miles. Over the hill for a viper, really.

I put 20K miles on my other cars in a heartbeat! It made me start to wonder, is ANYONE putting real miles on their snake?

20,000 miles, 11,000 since I bought it. (about a year and a half)

Not a lot of total miles but I have put 7000 miles on in in 2 and a half months. I will be putting another 1400 on it in about a week, so about 8500 miles in 3 months. YIKES>

I am sure you enjoyed every mile of that 11,000 miles you put on. I stopped worrying about how many miles I put on some time ago. I don't plan on selling the car any time soon and everytime I take it out for a cruise it is a pure joy. I now have about 30,000 miles on it, of which I have put on 12,000. My Viper may not be worth as much as a lower mileage Viper now, but it was all well worth it to me, every mile of it.

"50,121" was the milage just before sending my Viper to DLM. Last year I started replacing everything on the car with "new" and better (except the frame), so I'd be good for another 50k miles!...

5,600 miles on a Y2K.

My excuse was that I was travelling in Europe for much of the past 2 years - I am re-dedicating myself to curing the disease of low mileage.

While TTL mileage is interesing, I'd be more curious as to what items went bad along the way.

In my case:

8,900 miles

2 A/C Evaporators (leaky)
Rear Main Seal (leaky)
Oil Pan Gasket (leaky)
Windshield replacement (leaky)
Shifter boot replacement (droopy)
Rear window struts replacement (droopy)
Alarm module replacement (dead)
and passenger door window weather striping on now the way out.....

10 months and 6,000 miles. If you let them depreciate while sitting in the garage, your cost per mile of fun goes way up.

Let's see:
$70K spread over 1000 miles = $70/mile

or
$70K spread over 70,000 miles = $1/mile

SlowCreamPuff is definitely getting his money's worth!

Issues along the way
Air conditioning compressor - ordered yesterday
PCM due to O2 sensor issue - ordered in April, still waiting
Passenger door lock solenoid caused alarm to keep tripping
Windshield needs to be replaced - no fault of its own.

51 K and counting. Only the AC evaporator has been replaced besides the mods I have made. Driving the Viper keeps me sane and I love each and every mile I have put on her.

34.5K. Wow.... I drive this thing alot!

These cars were ment to be driven.. not bottled up! I couldn't see driving anything else, people think i'm nuts! When it's all said and done, it's still a DODGE.. tried and true.

OK folks, I've got you all beat, too bad for me I guess. My 94 RT has 103k miles. I bought it with almost that many in Feb of this year from the original owner. The engine has been replaced twice under warranty @30k and 95k. I had quite a bit of mechanical work done and I replaced the seats, dash, exhaust, wheels, radio, paint. This car was listed on the VCA classified as over 100k miles. That's where I found it. It look's nice now, IMHO, and it seems mechanically sound.
Here's my claim, I HAVE THE HIGHEST MILES VIPER IN THE WORLD. What a claim to fame :-(
For some reason my old Avatar came up with this post. It shows the old wheels. Dang

51,262 miles (about 30,000 in 3.5 yrs.) It's only 5.2 miles to work

Not counting consumables like tires, rotors and brakes...

Re-glued rear view mirror and replaced thermostat feet gaskets at about 40,000 miles.

How can you say 20,000 miles is over the hill for a viper? They come with a 3/36 warranty stock and you can always upgrade that. I don't think Dodge would have a 3/36 and offer to extend it if they thought it wouldn't hold out. And by the looks of the response to your post many have gone well over the 20k over the hill mark you claim. As for my 01 GTS 11,000+ miles in 1 year and I plan to keep on driving it up to and over its 7/75 extended warranty.

My last 2001 I put 5,000 miles on it in 6 months. I have 1000 miles on my new one but I've been intentionally driving it to lay down a good dyno #.

I don't get to drive my Viper to work, since I go to a lot of construction sites, with nails, dust, and all.

9300 miles in 11 months.

Changed oil cooler, due to road damage. Not the cars' fault.

No other problems! Love my Viper!

Just rolled over 40K. I loved someone's point about the cost per mile!! Puts owning a car all in perspective. They were designed to drive not sit and be stared at. Drive and enjoy!!

That is a beautiful Viper. I hope mine looks like that at over 100,000 miles.

As far as mileage on my viper i'm afraid to say.
