Looks like you all had a great time. Lots of great pictures.

So how did the SRT's run? Anyone beat the Motor trend time?

As I understand it, fastest SC-only car was David's DLM GTS with a 10.2 @ 142. I do not believe any of the Heffner cars were in attendance?

No Heffner cars were present. SmokinV10 was out of town on business. The Roe cars were running mid to high 10's all day long. This being 1Tony1!!

A tremendous effort and a very professional event. Now, where were all the closet racers who said they'd be there? Great turn our of tuners and Unlimited cars and lots of street tire action. Unfortunately, Mod 1 (bolt Ons) with slicks only produced one car. We put down an 11.10@123MPH still saving the halfshafts for the competition. But no one showed so we had to put on Pilots and run with the street tire class.

Deans black SRT with the tnt stuff went at least a 12.39 with me driving and it also went a 12.4x with another driver. That was with whatever air they had in the tires and no burnout. I really babied it out of the hole, not knowing how much throttle would make it spin. My sixty was a 2.12. The only time I have driven a SRT was at the 30 second VOI course. With 3 or 4 passes a high 1.80 sixty should not be a problem and that would = a 11.9x .

It is unfortunate that I was not able to attend. My wife is days or even hours away from giving birth to our first child and I did not want to chance missing that. There will be other races to attend but you only have one first child. Gary Almond was also not able to attend because he is out of town at a family even, Smokin was also away on business.

Congratulations to everyone in attendance, it sounds like you all had a great time. David went through a lot of trouble to organize this event and it was well worth it for everyone there.

Maybe I'll get to see some of you at the regional event at the end of this month.

Any of you wanting to see any of the pics posted in this thread at their true LARGE size rather than the small ones shown here, this is all you need do:
1. Right click on the picture
2. Select properties
3. In the window that pops up, copy the address URL in it.
4..Address:
...(URL)
5. Note: The address will be very long, beginning with "http", fallowed by a long string of numbers, and ending in ".jpg" (possibly ".gif")
6. Paste this address in your browser heading, then add to the end of the address ".orig.jpg" (or if it's a gif, add ".orig.gif"
7. Note: If you do this correctly the address will be very long, beginning with "http", fallowed by a long string of numbers, and ending in ".jpg.orig.jpg" or ".gif.orig.gif"
8. Hit the ENTER or select the GO button.
9. The picture will then be displayed in its true form, not the small one shown in this thread.
10. Why? Because, as I have learned, Image Station limits the size of all the pics that it hosts so that they appear much smaller to save bandwidth. But at least with the technique I have written here, you can view the pics as they are meant to be seen, if you want to. I know this works, because I've used this technique on all the Image Station pics I've seen in the forums today, and was able to view them in their true form, and then save them. These small pics, in this thread, for example, don't do the real pics justice. It's not as hard as it sounds. Try it once, you'll see. Then you'll know how to do it, from here on out.
