Holy smokes Batman. That thing is a beast......and tough to handle as the fronts only hit the ground after 200-300 feet down the track. Sorry that happened but I'm sure it'll be put back together and run again soon. Ouch.

There's a lot of driver error going on there, Maybe he should have learned how to drive a Corvette first and then stepped up to the bad ass viper.

His problems started before he left the line. With the help of that guy at the left front of the car he successfully pre- staged and then staged. ( I'm trying not to comment on the fact that he needed help to find starting line). His helper walks away so now he's ready to launch. Now the car starts hopping up and down a couple times. That's possibly a mechanical problem, but now the driver launches full blast before the car settles down, in my opinion he's very lucky to get through first as far as he did. the real problem ( obviously) comes at the end of first gear . First gear winds up too quick for him and he's not ready to shift, he bounces off the rev limiter 3 times which reduces the power to the tires and chassis from about 2500 horsepower down to zero, then he reaches for the shifter and shifts it into second. My guess at what happens next Is that the chassis couldn't hook up all that power and its spun the right slick and the Left slick turns the car to the right. End of story. Look at the other videos, and listen. He's nowhere near ready to shift. A car like that you have to leave the line with one hand on the shifter one hand on the steering wheel.

Hey, NI-KA, Check out the video that ACRcrazy posted. the in car video shows a driver with both hands on the wheel long past hitting the rev limiter. in the view from the outside you can hear him hitting the rev limiter and swerving around as he looks for the shifter. and that was a successful run.

Doesn't look too bad. They should have that bad boy back up and running in no time.

lmao, the driver has more experience in low 7 second cars than anyone else in this thread, yet somehow everyone is an expert on driving something like this.
