Glad to read that Chris Wojciciki was ok after seeing his GTS in flames on page 146 in Hot Rod mag that I just got today. That was a horrifying picture. I morn his loss and wish him the best.

That was a very sad day for me! The avatar is what the car looked like before some additional mods. I was really hard being without a Viper. My good friend Mardy of the Ontario Viper Club let me drive his car to keep me Viper enthusiasm peaked. I have purchased a 2002 ACR. Mods to follow.

What was to blame? p/s cap?

It started at the rear of the car. I had the p/s cap vent.

I'll bet it was the fuel filter(or a line popped off of it). I saw this happen to a car at VOI 7. Pointed it out and some of the Mopar reps came to the rescue. Could have been a bad scene too.
