Visors are SCOOPS!

On the freeway today I noticed that if you turn your visors vertically beyond 45º they become air scoops which can flood the interior with cool fresh air (top down of course). This displaces some of that warm engine air that finds itself entering the interior. There is about a 1" space between the windshield and the visor, which becomes a terrific airduct. Worked most efficiently between 60-85 mph. Above 85 gets a little too windy, below 60 not much air is ducted. Puts wind into your lap, and gives the interior some positive pressure.
Great on a balmy day when you don't wish to run your AC.

Agree with the visor air thing, just also remember that when hitting stinging insects they are driven right in your lap and they are not always dead. Just speaking from experience but it is worth it.

Actually, that was how I got into my first car accident.

Wasp decided it would be a good time to fly into my Jeep, I ended-up getting stung several tims in the legs as I idled into the car in front of me in traffic. :p
