VOI.9: Las Vegas!

Is there any way the VCA can give us a weekly update of how many registrants there are? I'm curious to see how quickly this VOI sells out.

Based on the last Vegas VOI, I'm pretty sure this VOI will hold a huge number of cars.... not even sure if a sell-out is possible.... it's Vegas

What is the limit they will allow before it is sold out? Has there ever been a VOI that has sold out?

VOI.1 (Detroit) Sold out, but it only allowed like 250 cars....
VOI.2 (CA) sold out after it decided to give a free hard top with every entry!
VOI.3 (Indy) not sure, but thinking it did.
VOI.4 (Disney) not sure, but thinking it did.

After this, Venues got huge, lots of hotel, lots of track....

VOI.5 Vegas
VOI.6 St Louis
VOI.7 Nashville ( For some reason I remember this was the largest VOI)
VOI.8 Dallas

Additional detail, and suppositions:

VOI2 was Monterey CA
VOI4 was technically Orlando, I thought

Last I heard, the only VOI since Monterey to sell out was VOI5 in Vegas, which also had the highest attendence of any so far. I could be wrong, of course. (I.e. the only VOI's to sell out have been those near the west coast, which would correspond to the highest density of Viper ownership ).

Hmmmm - its $350 more per person than the '99 VOI5 in Las Vegas, and the room rate at the MGM was significantly less (not sure, but I seem to recal around $120). Even with that difference, I think its still possible...

Yep, just checked. It was $500 per person for VOI5. Our total hotel came to $170 for the period. I believe there were lots of comps applied (not that we bet any money there ).

I had a very bad experience at Venetian less than a month ago! I will not stay there again! Anyone know if I can park my RV at the track instead? I would be trailering my viper so I can get back and forth as needed. If not do any of you Vegas guys have any good ideas?

There's a great RV park on South Las Vegas Blvd. The name of the park is the Oasis. I have talked to people who have stayed there and they love it. There phone number is 800-566-4704, they also have a web site www.oasislasvegasrvresort.com there local number 702-260-2020. I understand they can wash your RV and service it on site. There's also RV parking at some of the casino's but it can get a little crazy and nosiy at those parks.

Thanks for the reply! Kim from the VCA got back to me and she says that I will be able to park at the track, but the details won't be available for about 2 months! Which sounds great to me! So I will put the park you mentioned on the burner just in case! Any idea how far it is from the track?
