I got the 50/50 figure from a Viper site that had all sorts of data on the SRT-10 Viper. Don't recall the site name because I had all such data written down from awhile back. Before posting, I checked on the Dodge.com website to confirm, but could find no such data there. Based on what Bob Pommer said (48/52), the 50/50 I read about could be based on the prototype model, for all I know. I guess this bears looking into until someone can confirm DC facts concerning the weight distribution.

Road & Track Magazine lists it as 50/50 (and this is not the prototype model that they tested).

Here is from the earlier post:

"On the way back from Dyno Day last weekend, I had a chance to run over one of the WA DOT scales (scales were closed, but the machine was still working).
With me (at 225 lbs) in the car and a 1/2 tank of gas, I was surprised at the findings.

Total weight- (all 4 wheels on the scale) 3620 lbs
Front weight- 1760 48%
Rear weight - 1880 52%

This is with the gas and the driver, so it stands to reason that the curb weight is 50/50...

This answers my question.

This is what Dodge has listed for exterior dimensions of the Viper SRT-10:

Exterior Dimensions
Base Curb Weight (manual trans.): 3380 lbs.
Overall Length: 175.5 inches
Overall Height: 47.6 inches
Overall Width: 75.2 inches
Wheelbase: 98.8 inches
Front Track: 57.8 inches
Rear Track: 60.9 inches
Turning Diameter (curb-to-curb) Right: 40.5 ft.
Turning Diameter (curb-to-curb) Left: 40.5 ft.
Wheelbase: 98.8 inches
Ground Clearance - at Curb Weight - Running Ground Clearance: 5.13 inches
Coefficient of Drag: 0.43

Interesting that in this area Dodge does not list the weight distribution of the Viper. Just where the heck do they have that info at? I cannot find it anywhere on the Dodge website. What's up with that?

And as long as were at it...
This is what Dodge has listed for interior dimensions of the Viper SRT-10:

Interior Dimensions
Seating Capacity - Standard Seating: 2
Seating Capacity - Maximum Seating: 2
Head Room - Front: 36.5 in.
Leg Room - Front: 42.4 in.
Shoulder Room - Front: 54.1 in.
Cargo Capacity (Trunk): 8.4 ft.

Anyone have contradictory information? It would be nice to have the correct facts in this matter. It is entirely possible that Dodge has the information incorrectly written on their website.
