I am trying to figure out if I have a problem or not.. I have a 94 RT/10, 4k miles. Normally at idle I see about 20/30 psi and while driving, around 60psi. This is ballpark. In general lower pressure at idle, higher while driving as it should be.

When I took it out this morning, I noticed while idling I still had about 60 psi. Driving it it went up just a little, but at idle, still high. Stopped for gas, (engine warm by now) start car, now oil pressure is like normal. Later that afternoon, problem shows up again. I am thinking maybe sender screwed up? Any ideas appreciated. Use Mobil 1.

Your first paragraph describes normal operation. Cold oil oil pressure will be much higher at idle....maybe you are jut 'noticing' it now?

Rule of thumb: minimum oil pressure should be 10psi per 1000 rpm
