Greetings from West Texas. Come join us near San Angelo at Wall Dragway for some street car drag racing. October 26th
Race day is Saturday, Oct 26th. Gates open at 9:00AM. We have it set up where we run between rounds. The track owners will reserve lane 6 in the staging lanes for us so we can run pretty much run at will. Should be fun. Races will probably be over by 6:00 PM.
$25 for car and driver. (Time Only Class) Spectators: Adults-$10, Student/Military-$8, Senior/Child-$2
Sunoco Fuel is available. 104 octane oxygen sensor safe pump gas.
4 hours from Dallas, 3 hours from Austin, 3 hours from San Antonio.
If you get there before 11:00 AM, there will be plenty of time to run. The earlier you get there, the more passes you can make. There will be some “special activities” for Viper and Vette owners in Abilene Friday night. We are extending an invitation for you to drive up Friday evening and stay in Abilene and visit with us. Wall Dragway is a one-hour drive from Abilene and several of us will be leaving Abilene around 8:00 AM Saturday morning. If that won't work for you, we understand but we’d sure like to see you at the racetrack Saturday.
What kind of cars will be there? C4 and C5 Vettes, F-bodies, Mustangs, and Vipers will be there! There are a couple of ZO6’s and a couple of F-Bodies that are plenty fast. The track owners are great people and are very accommodating. Coordinating grudge matches will be no problem. They’ll be talking it up over the PA system stirring it up! They broadcast on FM radio so you can listen to it while in your car.
Come up Friday night if you can, if not, Saturday will do fine. Hope you can make it. Bring your helmets and come on!
