I heard it was a VCA chapter president, which is pretty disturbing if true. A VCA president winning the truck in a private drawing is suspicious, I mean if you work for Taco Bell you are not eligible for a free taco drawing, I'm glad I didn't buy any tickets or I'd be REALLY pissed.

OK - here's a novel idea - everyone that buys a friggin' ticket is eligible to win. If the chances weren't equal, that'd be unfair, wouldn't it?

VCA National Officers and Michigan officers are not allowed to buy tickets, and therefore, not allowed to win.

I believe this is the first time that a VCA Regional Officer has won any raffle. It was bound to happen when you have a game of chance - it's called odds. I've bought multiple tickets to EVERY RAFFLE and haven't won squat. And who was the last guy that won? And the guy before that? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

The raffle is registered by the State of Michigan and can be audited at any time. Obviously, there is too much to lose to "fix" anything.

So ya'll can take your consipracy theories and go home - nothing to see here.

And if you're so hell bent on stirring up ****, and you are a VCA member, has anyone taken the time to discuss this with anyone at National to understand how these drawings are audited / controlled? If not, then it must not really concern you that much - or - it's just more fun to stir the *** on the internet.

Finally....

Congratulations to Nabil!

I am very serious

NO VCA officers should have been allowed to purchase tickets or win items.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion.....but I think most are of the opinion that there is no reason to distrust the process (unless they are some type of conspiracy-theory believer), or Dodge, or the VCA.

Whether or not it is "right", or allowed, is a matter for the future I would assume. That being said...a VCA member bought his tickets, had NOTHING to do with the actual drawing (in fact he just found out about winniing), and I am sure whoever drew the ticket knows possibly only a handful of members...and even then, probably not their names.

If you want to discuss the PRINCIPLE of the matter, and discount ANY and ALL talk of something being amiss in this particular process....lets talk. :)

Like I said...in THIS instance a person bought a ticket and won. Could have been any one of a number of people here. Him being a VCA Officer means what?

Congratulations to Nabil......!

RIGHT ON Vipermad...what does it have to do with the winner being a regional pres.? Nothing, all it means is that someone who volunteers a LOT of time and effort for the VCA won a prize. If the 2 guys from California think it is wrong or fixed in any way then THEY should bring it up with the authorities as I understand it is a licensed draw.
If you are so concerned about this issue, then why didn't you bring it up before the draw? Or before all of the other draws?? Why now?

I certainly understand the old wisdom that employees and officers of a corporation holding a contest should not be allowed to participate. But you have to understand the big firms (McDonald's, Ford, Microsoft, etc.) DO NOT have this rule to avoid fraud. Rather, at best, the rule only avoids the question or cloud of fraud.
Let's be honest. I don't think it would take a criminal mastermind to figure out that if he/she could rig a contest, it would not be to smart to win in his own name when he/she is related to the organization. Too many questions.

HEY, ENJOY THE TRUCK!!! (and through up some photos when you get it)

I am not yet sure that I have a problem with a VCA regional president winning the VCA raffle car or truck. From what I know is that these people are volunteers and are not paid for their positions. I am willing to bet though that the VCA gives them certain ‘perks’ for taking on their positions.

What I do have a problem with so far is that a few requests for the list of names of the 49 people who ‘won’ the right to purchase the VCA Ram Srt-10 have been ignored, along with months of requests for the financial documents which were finally answered.

I am requesting that the VCA post the list of the 49 winners of the right to purchase. After all this was advertised by the VCA as a ‘raffle’ and I feel we all have the right to know the winners, and can be posted in the VCA members only section of the website.
This can either put to bed the rumors of favoritism or on the other hand raise some serious questions.

My personal opinion is that communication to all VCA members on how these contests are conducted, who was present, etc. has been horrible. Maybe I am just not looking in the correct place on this website and if anyone can point me in the right direction I do apologize .

Does the VCA plan on letting us know if anyone has backed out of the right to purchase one of the 49 trucks and if so are they going to have another drawing? I have no idea on how any of this is being handled but would sure like to know.
I thought about posting this overnight and am not trying to ‘start some crap over the internet’, or be labeled as a trouble maker. These are just some basic questions as a paying VCA member that I feel need to be addressed and not ignored. Communication to members needs to be improved.

This may sound a bit harsh, but I just want to know whether I should give the VCA my hundred bucks or if I would have better odds dropping it on the state lottery.

On a closing note however, I would like to thank the VCA, Dodge, and PVO for making a cool vehicle available to some of us.

So Blue Pilot, what perks are you talking about? When I was president of our region I never got any. Still want to place your bet? How much? ;)

Hey is it possible to buy tickets for the next 10 years in advance ?? Say 2 tickets for each Raffle, 10 raffles a year, $100 a ticket = $2,000. Sounds pretty good to me to have a chance to win some of these very unique vehicles!!

I agree!!!! :) A raffle has winners...and winners should be announced! 100% agreement from me. Though it does beg the question.....what happens when the whole world knows WHO won the right to buy? Anything? Nothing? I can't see a reason NOT to post the names....but it has been my experience that I am a little slow on the take....so I might be missing something. I mean....if I won, would I care if everyone knew? I think not....but I wonder what kind of attention/harassment I might get. Hmmm, perplexing for me....like time travel...you're now...and then...and now/then....ahhhh..... LOL

Do the WINNERS know they won? If they do....then why haven't they posted? Very intersting, but I am sure there is a reason. I/we may not LIKE the reason...but as long as it is legal, we can only voice. :)

I'm not sure how to post in two forums at the same time, so I just copied from the srt-10 forum to here. I feel bad that I posted this before the other California guys got so negative. My post is just for increasing the fun, and I'm happy for Nabil and any other raffle winners in the past.

It would be more fun in the future to draw it out a little. After being involved in the last couple of drawings, I never know who won until obviously I did not an hour later or so. Maybe VCA could post the first # and then a few minutes later the second # etc. Then let us see on line the total winning # before we have to wait for a phone call saying we won. I just think people would have more fun with it seeing how close they might have been, rather than just seeing somone else's name an hour later. Did not really think I was going to win, but wanted to have more fun trying . Dennis Kimball

I am new to the forum but a VCA member for three years and a proud RT10 owner. I am one of the 49 winners of the VCA RAM SRT-10. I have no problems with the VCA publishing me as a winner. However, some members may and that should be a choice. I know there were three other posts last week to acknowledge winning,(you must have missed them). I also know there were posts concerning the Dealer invoice and pricing, for some reason the posts were deleted???? So, I wasn't sure what could and could not be discussed over the forum. Dodge still has not sent the invoice to the Dealers??? After all, we are purchasing them, they are not FREE.

I would also like to know the 49 winners. I want to attend, either as a representitive of a winner or as their guest if they are going alone. If I was your guest, I would pay my half of the package, I would have my own place to stay etc. If I was a representitive, I would pay all the package expenses. PLEASE...throw a guy a bone :)

p.s. I will not pay for any of your truck

...My cell phone rang at around 11 am Friday Jan.30, and the voice at the other end identified himself as Dan ..., I did not paying attention to the last name, because I though I recognized the voice. Dan proceeded to tell me that he felt like Ed McMann today. My wheels started spinning, since I thought we would be confirming the date for the Viper Track Day at Cayuga/Ontario for next spring.

Dan broke the news to me (I think it was Dan Knott Director of PVO), that I won the Special Edition Ram SRT/10...I said you are joking, figured some of our members are pulling a joke on me, since some new it was my Birthday, and I didn't believe him.
Then I heard loud laughs and noises in the background, and someone said, put him on the speaker, as I was still in denial. Then Dan told me, here are some people that knows you. It was VCA Treasurer Mitch Wehrly, who said " hello Nabil, it is true and congratulations ", then Kim Vogt from Viper Head Quarters/JR Thompson, who also congratulated me, I recognized both voices,Then it dawned on me, that it was all for real...Jumped up and down, scared the H*ll out of my African Gray and my Std. Poodle who thought I wanted to play with him in the snow, and he was all over me tucking away at my trousers. This moment will never be forgotten.

Called my wife and I screamed I WON the TRUCK, she laughed and put me on hold...Strange, waited for a while and then hung up...too excited to wait any longer.

Later at the end of the day, she told me she was on the phone with a customer who just came out of a life threatning surgury and couldn't to me. Then she proceeded to tell me her jaws were hurting at the end of the day, as she told every client who came to her pet shop, about the S.E RAM SRT/10, as if they knew what she was talking about, but they were happy for her.

Thanks to all of you who extended their congratulations, and hope it will happen to you...Bet on it. :2tu:

Congratulations Nabil Neither the Oklahoma president or vice president won or even won the right to buy one of the 49 RAM SRT`S. We have not received any compensation or perks for volunteering to put together events for fellow viper owners. So there must be a conspiracy here some where. WAR whinny loser`s

Congrats Nabil!!!:)
I could just imagine that beast flying around the track at Cayuga!! Imagine the looks on all the Corvette guys faces after being blown away by a pickup!! Congrats on your win!!
Also, on the issue of this not being fair...i think that all the people who are talking smack are just jelous because they wont be having a SRT Ram in their driveway this year;);)!
Hopefully you can bring it out to some of the events next year:)!
Congrats again!!
