    skip shift / shift light

It works for 2008 Vipers (and earlier) ONLY. In 2009, they introduced a check in the PCM to make sure the solenoid was functioning as intended; i.e. if you install an eliminator, it will eventually throw a code. This check is only on 2009-2010 Vipers (not sure about the Gen 5 cars).

2008 intake and catch can question

Can't help with the ported intake, although the Gen V manifold might be an option to consider... As for the catch can, I pieced together my own based on an Rx Performance catch can: It's interesting that the Gen V changed placement of the PCV valve...I wonder if that valve would fit Gen IV...

Who has put headers on their car?

They apparently require slightly different turn-outs...other than that, yes, they are the same.

Cold Start issue with Gen 4

There is no IAC on Gen 4 cars...it's all done with the throttle blades since they are drive-by-wire.

    "I have had better days..."

If you do some searching around on here, you'll find that others have had this happen on their cars. Seems there might have been a bad batch of glass in 2008 that made them prone to shattering like this. No way to tell if it's going to happen until it does happen. As for batteries, I'd...

ACR Cup Tires, Do you Suggest Them?

Based off of your description? No way. In addition to the negatives listed above, the stickier rubber will also throw many more rocks and crap at your paint.

Pads are removable/replaceable. I have not painted mine, however.

    Looking at 2008 Convertible-Value

Just as an example, mine was originally listed by a dealer for around $69k...they ended up dropping it to $57,900-ish, which was as low as they would go. The car was mostly stock (had some aftermarket stereo gear) with about 9,500 miles on it.

    Looking at 2008 Convertible-Value

Low to mid 60s would be an asking price I'd expect, maybe picking it up for upper 50s to low 60s?

NEW: SRT VIPER GEN 5 - GEN 4 RACE HEADERS BBG STYLE (Teaser Photos)

What is the primary size of other header brands? Seems like 1-3/4" is pretty common...I'd think these engines would like 1-7/8" primaries for upper end breathing. Even stock-ish 346ci LS1s benefitted from 1-7/8" headers, so I'd think it would be a good size for an 8.4L engine making almost...

can you heal and toe in your viper with street shoes?

The dead pedal was one of the first things to go on mine...even all the way back, it was still always in the way.

couple pics of my new 19-20 combo.

I like them, and agree with others that it would look even better with less wheel gap.

can you heal and toe in your viper with street shoes?

They make minimalist shoes that have the same lack of padding as the 5-fingers, but look more like a normal running shoe if you really care. I went with the New Balance MT10...they work very well for this application, in addition to working out (why I really bought them).

can you heal and toe in your viper with street shoes?

I can't wear normal shoes when driving mine, so I always have to wear some sort of driving shoe. My running shoes get caught on the backside of the brake pedal, and I don't like that too much...never looked to see if the previous owner spaced the gas pedal over though. Maybe I should look...
