    Gen 5 wheel hop

While it isn't necessarily driver error, riding it out is. That's what usually causes damage. It can also be fixed with properly damped shocks/stiffer springs.

    Gen 5 wheel hop

Had wheel hop on my Gen 4, replaced the stock shocks/springs with an MCS/Eibach setup. Haven't had wheel hop since.

    What is this "GForce" thing?

This right here...they need to be centered when up to full operating temps, which means they will be shifted towards the front when cold.

    Custom tuning Gen IV

The codes were never released, but HPTuners has the ability to tune Gen 4 and 5 Vipers. I've been tuning mine since last summer. Unrelated: Dodge released the Gen 5 code to Arrow, and they now offer a plug and play PCM for the Gen 5 crowd (similar to the Mopar PCM for the Gen 4 guys).

2008 ACR KW suspension for sale

They'll either sell or they won't...no sense beating the guy up over how he prices them. If he priced them too high, they'll sit...he knows that.

    3.33 gears Who sells them?

No one makes Viper spec 3.33s anymore...you'd have to find them used if you can find them at all.

'Best practice' for trickle charger hook ups

? Batteries can be deep cycle, but entire cars? Not so much... Even if the OEM battery was deep cycle (and I don't think it is), that wouldn't mean that it would maintain its charge for a longer period of time...it would just mean that you wouldn't toast the battery if you drained the crap...

    Viper vs new Z06

Those that try this to try and get around a voided warranty will quickly find out that the OEMs have implemented a counter of sorts in the PCMs to determine just how many times a PCM has been written to. If it shows that it has been written to more times than can be backed up with valid service...

    '08 Tuning

Man...this section of the forum is pretty dead. Do people not realize that HPTuners now has a solution for 2008-2010 Viper guys, or do you just not care?

Question About Transmission & Diff Fluid?

4 quarts for transmission, 2 quarts for the rear diff. You'll use a little less than that in both. Don't forget friction modifier for the rear diff.

Flasher Relay for LED lighting guys!

So today I decided to tackle the turn signal bulbs - I bought some amber 3157 LEDs (tower SMD types), along with the relay referenced above to eliminate the dreaded fast flash: http://viperspecialtyperformance.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=245 It did eliminate the fast flashing, but...

    The dreaded gas mileage question!

That's not quite how it works...any gear where the output turns faster than the input is an overdriven gear, so anything less than 1:1 (which is 4th gear in all Vipers, 1st through 5th Gen) is considered an overdrive. The standard 5th/6th ratios for the T-56 and TR-6060 through 2009 were...

    transmission/rear end lube

Transmission fluid does not take a friction modifier, but the differential fluid does. I don't think it would hurt to add more, but if it were me, I'd have it drained and refilled properly by someone that could remember whether or not they added the stuff.

I have to agree with this 100% compared to the past Viper mag issues.

Flasher Relay for LED lighting guys!

Question: can this new relay be used with standard incandescent bulbs too?

Order placed...the turn signals are the last bulbs that have not been converted to LED, minus the head and fog lights.

Viper Purchase Without Physically seeing or test driving. Advice?

160 point inspection doesn't mean much to me if they don't know what they are looking for. I essentially bought mine sight unseen, but I was able to take it on a test drive and check it over myself (with very limited Viper knowledge at that point) before signing on the dotted line. If it...

Put my 2009 ACR on the dyno.

6,400 RPMs is the factory Gen 4 rev limit. The Mopar PCM raises that limit to 6,500. The Gen 3 cars had a 6,250 rev limit.
