I remember driving my GTS around the ring and thinking I was Dale Jr. I was just approaching the 16km marker on the track and thought I was really pushing it when Andreas came flying-by with the Zakspeed Viper GTS like I was standing still... :drive::dunno::2tu:
IMO California Dusters are the biggest cause of scratches ever. :2tu:
I never quickly wash any of my cars, when I do I do make sure that it's done properly each time.
21"'s will look great on the GTS!!! A friend of mine has 21" with the 375 on his Z06 and they look the business!
I just got my 20" set, can't wait for the summer...
Thanks for sharing the photos. I got to "do the ring" last summer, first time in the Viper (been there few times with Corvettes). It sure is a blast to drive.
The 99 I'm looking at is S/C'd, at first I was going to go with NA to keep the 1996 simple and stock "appearing" :D. I'll post more detailed info about the 1999 if I get to close the deal. :drive:
If you don't mind a bit of a work out, I'd say start with Zaino PC (no circulating moves) then ZAIO and then Z5 and then start applying Z2 and Z8. You will get the most amazing result when done right. And doing it by hand it is easier to keep an eye on the process, although it is a lot more work...
Wow guys, you really know your stuff! Tons of great info shared here and thanks to all you who PM'd me too. After some thinking I have my mind set to keep the 96 bone stock and buy another GTS!!! I have a nice 99 black GTS in sights with 633RWHP and 14K miles on it... Let's see if I can close a...
First of all, I would like to stick with NA tune, no turbos or SC's at this point. I took the car to the dyno and I got solid 450hp out of the bone stock motor with 8K miles on it.
Now I'm looking to get some more hp's out of the engine. Are there any well known, dyno proven packages...
Plug-in and they propably checked the engine mapping. I wasn't there to witness it though... :dunno:
What is the best way to clean the IAC? :dunno:
Thanks for the answers...
Hi there,
My 1996 GTS has developed a new problem or two new symptoms that might be caused by the same failure somewhere. The car has only 8000miles on it and it is 100% stock, no mods what so ever.
Problem 1) When I start the car it idles between 500rpm and 1500rpm. It doesn't matter if...
That's the problem, those couple of washes always leave more very fine scratches on the paint (swirlmarks) no matter what products you use. If there is a physical contact there will be a mark. What I usually do is, I wash and then apply 4-10 coats of Zaino products on it to bring out the shine...
