well this weekend i got to sit and drive one heres my review.

comfort: its not as bad as people say it drives nice no Mercedes by any means thou it feels like your driving a race car and it does get very hot the viper i got to drive the ac was wasn't working so it got hot and sweaty quick especially in 90 degree weather and its very small on the inside there also isnt any storage room anywhere exept for the ridiculous cubby in the middle but i still love the car lol.

power: its fast it has great power but i was expecting it to be a little faster especially with all the gas it uses 8 mpg cruising.

looks: ooh man this things gets looks everywhere i had some guy fallow me for 5 miles taking pics its just an awesome car to behold it just looks exotic.

comutting: hell no this thing is terrible on gas it uncomfortable especially for me being 6'3 and 270lbs and i couldnt handle all the attention of cars crashing around me taking pictures lol.the thing that got to me was all of the bad looks on the faces of the young guys i was getting while driving they had the i wanna key your car look on there face for some reason.

final word: I have decided not to get it instead im going with the 03-04 zo6 because its easier to drive and it gets great gas mileage plus its almost as fast the viper only draw back are the looks of the vette arent going to get you laid any time soon.:(

but i will get a viper its just not for me right now maybe sometime early next year i will have a viper in my garage. i wish could drive the viper to campus it would be a chick magnet but im to anal about anybody touching my car and i would rather have them key the z06 vs the viper.:2tu:

You may want to do other things in school other than worry about your car...

Learning grammer and spelling might be a good start.

dont get me wrong i love the damn car but im not rich even if i write my own insurance policy im looking at 200+ plus for insurance a month plus 800-900 dollar car payment plus the gas this thing uses thats why i have decided to wait till the buisness starts to make some more money before i blow it on a car and i think i can wait another year i just turned 20.

I'm not sure where you have gotten your gas mileage numbers from but it must be at the drag strip:omg: . My DD is a Dodge 1500 4X4 truck and it gets MUCH worse gas mileage than my Viper. When I am driving the Viper on the highway I get 18-24 MPG depending on how many "spirited bursts" I enjoy.:D In town I get far better than my DD.

If your looking for DD, in my opinon, the Vette nor the Viper are good choices but to each his own. I really don't want to put either of these cars through the abuse my DD takes. When I drive the viper I am a different person then I am in my DD in terms of how it is treated.

Comfort?? I spent a week on Hot Rod power tour in my GTS. It was nice. Gas mileage? on the way to Florida from Delaware, I got about 30 mpg 6th gear at 70 mph. Great commuter car. My H2 on the other hand **** for gas mileage, but that is not why I bought it.

Some of us, ok, most of us, take offense when somebody such as yourself comes on here and starts spewing this worthless drivel about how much gas a Viper uses or how it is not a very good daily driver and THEN say you are going to get a Vette! Trust us on this, we DID NOT buy a Viper because of those things and if you can't figure it out on your own, I am not going to explain it to you.
Go buy your Vette, join the Vette forums and have be happy but please go to the alley and ask them for guidance.

Since we are the Viper Club of America forum, we have NO idea what goes on in Viper Alley forums. If you are posting in ANY VIPER forum, you know pretty much what to expect~~and you've gotten it! Vipers ARE gas guzzlers, they ARE meant to be driven hard, they do NOT get good gas mileage....none of us bought these cars for these reasons...we got them to be DRIVEN--gas mileage--what's that??? LOL....filling up the tank--ummmmm---YEAH!!!! FUN??? UNSURPASSED..... ~juli~

First off...

What Gen were you driving, how many miles were on the car and did you even check for any possible damages?

I've been in every Gen and can say each one was pretty comfy. Not as comfy as a regular everyday econo car but still comfy and millege shouldn't be something to worry about if your talking vettes and vipers. Not every 90's sports car is going to be babied in a garage.

Vipers are not for everyone, and thank goodness for that!

PS: My GTS gets better mileage than my Dakota R/T ever did (city and highway) but that's not why I bought it either.

Right. I go to ******* strictly for the wings.

I find ******* offensive and demeaning to women. You male chauvanist pig!

And I am the Pope. ~juli~

Wow! I was honored to drive a Viper before. Now that I know the Pope drives one, well, I'm just overcome with pride! Do the Vette guys know this?

I bought my Viper so I could get pictures with ******* girls! :pbt:

Please refer to my previous response :lmao: :D :lmao: :D
