I admit I didn't research this at all before posting, lol, but, has anyone received an '08 ACR yet? I'd love to see some more pictures (other than the stocks)

The answer is no, concerning any ACRs being out yet. This is one that was sent to Prefix for striping and fitment of the wing and splitter --- killer photo though !!!

Are the ACR's being built on the assembly line yet? Do the ACR's have to go to the Jobber for stripes?

Nice pics. House is the Meadowbrook mansion. The house built by John and Matilda Dodge, though he died before it was completed, and occupied by Matilda and her next husband Alfred Wilson. I took this picture back in 1995 to introduce the Dodge Viper to the Dodge mansion. as stated it is quite small. Only 88,000 sq ft and 110 rooms. we have had MCVO events in the mansion in the past. Impressive.

No info on the ACR though.

We have some listed for build in late February, but I have not seen a change yet.

Stripes will be done at Prefix and I believe the wings/splitters also, though I have not confirmed the latter.

So the cars will be hung up for at least a couple of months on the stripes and wing/splitters. The black stripes on my SSG have slowed the process considerably.

Admitted MAJOR ignorance here but ... is ACR factory ... or strictly some after-market thing?

Also, is it performance upgrades AND cosmetics ... or strictly more cosmetic (or at least body diff's ... knowing aerodyn's help, etc ... perhaps I mean more along the lines of does it include "internal" performance upgrades).

Thanks and again, forgive the ignorance regarding.

Road and Track tested the ACR next to the 08 in the April issue (which i just got yesterday). The ACR was the fasted around the track out of every other car tested there, (ZR1, Z06, 911, 911RS, Gallardo, Gallardo Superlegera, and 08 Viper)

I just won the first ACR from the Viper Club raffle. They are still waiting on production parts and should begin building ACR's mid March. Chrysler will let me pick up the ACR after production begins before Easter. March 17th sounds correct.

Bill P. is the only one that will really know when the ACR goes into production.Black is suppose to be done first but who knows.I have a feeling black and red will be done at the same time.

:headbang::2tu::headbang: Mine went E Status today. Woo Hooo! Thanks to Willie Da P for letting me know! It would appear they are finally rolling. See below for status codes. Once they break out of D it's all good. I think today was the day! Not so much later from what they said either.:2tu::headbang::2tu:

UNSCHEDULED
  • BB - fleet order only - review by bid department
  • BD - special equipment processing
  • BE - edit error - coding error which must be corrected before order can be considered for scheduling
  • BG - order has passed edit, but cannot be scheduled regardless of priority or sold status
    • F - Financial hold
    • B - model or option
    • B - build out
    • L - material restriction
    • M - material hold (fleet)
    • BX - good order available for scheduling
SCHEDULED
  • C - tentative schedule
  • D - firm schedule: serial number is assigned, appropriate time in station (5) working days
  • D1 - gateline: plant has sequenced the unit for production, estimated ship date assigned, approximate time in station is (12) working days
BUILD
  • E - framing
  • F - paint
  • G - trim
BUILT
  • I - unit is built pending final inspection
  • J - vehicle has passed final inspection: but not released to carrier unit requiring vendor work (sunroof, special package, etc.)
  • JB - shipped to body vendor
  • JE - shipped to emissions
  • JS - shipped to storage
  • KZ - released by plant and invoiced

Not only was the ACR faster around the track, the second fastest was the 08 Viper. The 08 also beat everything else out there except the ACR!:headbang:

Black Mamba is EXACTLY right. The "regular" 08 Viper beat all the other models INCLUDING the track models of the other brands. Which means the ACR really beat their a**.
