I suggest you also check the rear axle nuts for proper torque. They will make a "click" noise on a turn. Also may sound as a "crack" sound.
I would not reccomend a transmission on the suggestion of "I think thats what it is" ???
Dodge had a cooling fan/power steering bulletin out on 03. In some cases they would replace the Cooling fan module, powersteering pump and the rack and pinion.
Have your Viper tech look into this.
Have your local viper repair shop inspect your car. They may use a laser therometer to check the difference from side to side. Thus determining
if their is a problem on one side. At least it's a staring point.

$200 is a average number you can expect. There are speciality tools required to perform the proper alignment on a Viper. Most people do not
know the rear caster is adjustable, and if not set or even moved to compensate camber in the rear serious handeling problems can come from this.
