Car & driver on ZO6 Performance a little lower but fast.
Staying in the powerband is not hard if you A) Have a close ratio transmission and B) Have a wide "enough" powerband. For instance high HP Supras have what most consider "peaky" powerbands and low low-end torque. Yet with my HKS TT Supra (786 RWHP boost only) I was able to run a 10.41 @ 139.6...- Supra

help with deciding fuel pumps..pics inside...
If you want good solid realible fuel pumps (which are also inexpensive to boot) get a couple of 255L/H Walbros. This is what a lot of the Supra guys use and are good to ~1000 RWHP for the pair on boosted cars. You could always do 2 stock Viper pumps.....- Supra

Torque has very little to do with MPH in the 1/4 mile, HP/weight ratio does. The redline (from a previous article) for the Z06 is 7K RPM's. If it makes an honest 500 HP the car is good enough for about 125 MPH. But much like the Viper, Ford GT, etc. it could be underrated and may be making a...- Supra

GM reveals new Z06 Performance specs!
No question that the stock Supra's Getrag's shifter is better than the T56's shifter (it was also much better than my 996TT's shifter). Shifting a Supra is easier than a Viper, launching it is definitely tougher than a Viper. As far as the #'s, the HP calculator on Doug Levin site is wrong...- Supra

That was probably on a Dynojet right? The dyno day Phoenix is talking about is a different type that yields somewhat lower #'s. Phoenix, I'm planning on dynoing the snake this Satruday, are you going? You should also come to our (lots of Supras, a few Vipers, one Lambo, etc.) Globe run on Sunday.- Supra

Rule of thumb is ~15% loss. And the right way to calculate is to take the RWHP % and divide by .85 if it's 15% loss, .82 if it's 18% loss or .81% for 19% loss. This is because you are starting with X HP at the flywheel and losing power through the drivetrain, not starting with X HP at the wheels...- Supra
