Thanks to Parts Rack& Jon B.
Well the problem finally was revealed this morning. Cracked PS pulley. Called Jon B at Parts Rack. He took the time to walk me through the options and advise on the best solution. I ordered a new pulley and bracket and he sent it off immediately. Great price. Got...
2001 GTS 19000 miles. Original Owner.
Power steering is very difficult when the car is stationary. OK underway.
Replaced PS fluid with MOPAR recommended. Problem seemed to be fixed but it reappeared again yesterday.
No leaks. PS fluid full. Belts/Pulley seem OK
Any ideas before I get my wallet...
Where can I find the VOI rules on equipment? 5 pt harness dates, helmet, tech requirements, etc.?
It's been a few years since I had her on a track and this looks great!
Thanks, Paul
2001 Red/Silver GTS
Auto Zone guy yesterday talked me into buying a can of fuel injector cleaner suggesting that my 01 GTS (18,000 miles) probably could use a can by now.
I searched the threads and found no one suggesting one way or the other. I've got no engine issues..always use 93. If it ain't broke don't...
I'm not sure of how much it would cost to retro fit but my garage was built new with the same alarm technologies as the interior of my home. IR motion and window alarms. Manually opening the garage door and entering would result in the motion alarm activating. Seemed a good investment given the...
Jon B. You are so right about the rut tracking seam following handling oddity. I do track occasionally and although I had my local Tech in Florida adjust it a couple of years ago for the track he reset it for the street following the track event. I haven't changed it and my 2001 still tracks...
Just one more thought...and it's a routine habit...don't pull on the handbrake after you finsh a track session and park the beast. (Thanks to Bob Woodhouse at No Problem Raceway some years ago).

Agree. Came here from Florida where no front plate is required. Rubber snap on works great and comes off easily for car shows etc. I've had it on for a year now...no damage noticed.

There is a Viper Tech at the Dodge dealer in Smithfield. I'm not certain if he does any major engine work like adding a blower, but on routine work he's been great.

This is a new one for me. My wife and I were out for dinner Saturday night and she wanted to take the Viper. Beautiful early evening and although I hadn't washed the GTS in a while a quick dust-off and she looked pretty good. Following a great Thai meal we went to a nice commons type upscale...
A few years ago USAA tried to get me to sign a paper saying that I would agree to never participate in any such event. I never signed of course. Yes it is a major concern.

I just sent this to my builder. I couldn't even get a flush mounted garage door out of this guy (11 foot ceilings and not enough support he says).
One thing I might be able to do is your floor...what kind of "tile" did you use?
Truly a dream garage.

I used a Quik Change place when I lived in Florida but I requested to be in the Pit to observe. I'm sure the Viper generated the great treatment I always received. Now in Virginia I let the local Dealer do it...a Viper Tech is on duty..and so far all's well.
