I know some engines had forged pistons, some didn't. Which years had the best internals? What would be the max safe hp for a stock shortblock in say a '94 RT/10 or a '98 GTS?- luke_1201

Viper Pistons? What are they?
I've seen reference to some years having cast pistons, others talk about the hypers, and still another one that said they were forged. So what are they? Forged? Cast? What? GTS-R Block or Iron V10?
If you wanted to build something really wicked (1000+hp), but still a street Viper, would you use a GTS-R block dry-sumped? If you use a GTS-R block, what other parts WILL NOT fit from the normal v10? You have to use the R crank right? Is there anything else R specific that has to be used...- luke_1201
