Scratching noise from transmission area
Car is a '96 GTS with 34K miles on it and as far as I can tell it is still on the original clutch. Gas Cap Latch
Throwing this out there as a long shot. I was dissembling my gas cap cover and while tapping out the pin that connects the base of the cap to the latch, the latch piece shattered into a few pieces.
