There was a comment in one of the other posts that DC was out testing a Viper with the 04 drivetrain. The fact that it was mentioned by the tester seems to imply that there is some difference from the 03 we will be able to buy. Has anyone heard anything about this, & how does everyone feel if there is indeed a change after only one year???

GM did a similar thing with the '01 Z06. They went and redesigned a whole bunch of stuff for the '02: valves, cam, intake, exhaust, suspension, etc. Holy cow! Why would they make so many changes to the car? Well, the Corvette engineers finally confessed that they weren't quite "done" with the design of the '01 Z06 but GM went ahead and did an early model year release anyway.

So, as a (former) owner of an '01 Z06, I'll tell you how it feels to have a bunch of changes done one year after the release of a new product that you bought: you feel like you got crapped on.

Hopefully Dodge is taking this "down time" in production/release of the SRT to get everything right so that we don't get treated like we're buying a Chevy.

SRTRICK: how cool would it be for PVO to drop a blown hemi into the next srt -with maybe a paddle shifted stick- about 550hp to the rear wheels with 5lbs boost. whoops, just dreaming time to wake up.

The talked about a Hemi, but said they had to keep Viper a V10. One of the PVO guys has a Viper with a Hemi in it. I hear it is a monster.
