I found a deal on Ebay for new K&N air filter so i went for it. So far after 50 miles i have no 'check engine light':) It appears to have a meaner tone through the higher rpms. Yes it seems to pull harder but i have no dyno to prove it.

A noticable "pull harder" increase in HP on a 600 HP car froman air filter? No doubt it's going to be worth a $50 investment, but you're have a major "placebo effect".

Interesting that there is still no official K&N filter for the 2008 Viper. I plugged the above part number into the K&N website and it is actually the filter for the 03-08 Mazda RX-8.

If the pleats are shorter, you're probably more restricted... The depth gives surface area.

Thanks for posting. Was this on a Mustang, Dynojet or some other type of dyno? My 2008 recently dynoed 529 rwhp and 505 rwtorque on a Mustang at far closer to sea level (Vancouver, WA). Mileage was about 1,600 miles.
