Re: 1\" Lowering Instructions

Its not an inch. R u nuts? You talking about the lowering caps? Matter of fact, its not even 1/2 an inch its more like 4/10 of an inch. I measured the difference between the originals and the smaller ones.

Jon (2002 Viper GTS ACR), Ive noticed you add nothing useful to your posts. You dont offer helpful advice or information to the thread. You, Sir, are simply a sniper. Dont you have something better to do?

Flash, you can take your observations and shove them up your tail pipe for all I give a damn.

Jon

I find this information useful, 1 for Jon :smirk:

Re: 1\" Lowering Instructions

To TedK, I have the instructions for the Northwind 1" kit. If you give me a fax number or mailing address I can make you a copy and get it to you. I have no way to scan it.

Re: 1\" Lowering Instructions

Could someone share the installation procedures? How difficult and time consuming is the installation? Thank you

Re: 1\" Lowering Instructions

John,

It's pretty easy, you will need 13mm & 15mm sockets, and a long extension.

My memory is fuzzy on this, but I think you'll need a T50 torx to remove the seatbelt conector. Check this out as I am not really sure, sorry my memory isn't better.

Slide the seat all the way forward, and you can access the rear nuts. Remove them, then slide the seat all the way back, remove the front bolts, and the seat will come right out. Don't forget to unplug the seat belt warning wires.

Once the seat is out, you remove the rail assembly - it's quite easy, and if I recall correctly, you need a 13mm socket to do this.

Once this is removed, connect the new rails, and reinstall the seat.

Total time should be less than an hour.

Hope this helps,

Mike Dolan

Re: 1\" Lowering Instructions

Hey Ted,

I installed the kit a couple of months ago, just as Mike said - less than an hour (and you do need the torx driver). If I remember, the instructions referenced pictures that are available from Northwind - which I got and just emailed to you...

Re: 1\" Lowering Instructions

Ted, I may have the 1" seat lowering instructions still around if you still need them.

And I have a set of the 4/10th lowering caps for sale if anyone's interested? $100

Ron & others:

Thanks for the input. My seat actually went in on 12/5 with no problems, JOHNK revived this thread on 1/18.
