2001 ACR Shocks on a 96 GTS?

Will 2001 ACR shocks fit on a 1996 gts? I seem to remember some one saying they were diferent somehow and I haven't been able to find any info through searching. Thanks for any help.

They'll fit. Make sure you have all the necessary mounting bolts. Where will you get your ACR shocks ?

If you are getting them with the stock springs installed, take this opportunity to order some 800# rear springs instead of the 1100# originals.

I got the front 2 from eBay and will buy the 2 rears elsewhere. In the mean time I was thinking I would put a set of stiffer shorter linear rate springs and do the free shock mod (twist half a turn) does anyone have a recommendation on which springs to use?

You can order the Eibach kit for the Viper or if you want to get custom spring rates they may even be able to get some. Not sure if Hypercoil or H&R has the sizes. Make sure you match the spring rates to the stock Konis.
