We had an excellent turnout of Vipers and Viper-powered rides for the annual Italian Gathering in Dublin, OH.
About 2x as many as we had last year! We'll just keep making it bigger and bigger each year.
The organizers are very receptive to the Viper clan and understand our new-found (and some legacy) Italian heritage.

PICS!

Sure, there were a few others with V-10's there, but these are the ones with the most displacement. :D

Apparently Chad had such a good time at Nats this year, he zipped up in that thing for this event.
Thanks man! Sweet ride!

A few more oddities courtesy of the show host, Mr. George Evans (Evans Auto):

Yep- Lamborghini tractor.

Not many folks know, but Lamborghini was a tractor company long before they built cars.

Only at a show like this will you see blondes driving Ferraris:

This year they were celebrating the Countach and it's revolutionary design.
They set a record for East of the Mississippi with FIFTEEN Countach's!

It's no secret that the F40 is my favorite car there every year (sorry Bosserman...heh heh).
The thing even smells great. :D

Geat job on the photos. Thanks for sharing. Good to see the 'Italian connection' being shared across continents; sometimes even Viper owners (like me!) forget that part of the history.

Kevan, What do you mean by the Viper's Italian heritage. Did I miss something?

By the way, no pasta, Italian sausage sandwiches, Italian horns, gold chains, girls with hairy arms???? What kind of Italian gathering was that?:D

With regard to it's heritage, I was referring to the Red body/Yellow wheels (aka McViper) that was a driving-glove-across-the-face to Ferrari at the time.
And it's ********** for years at the track. :)

The newer heritage refers, of course, to FIAT now owning Chrysler and it's injection of their stuff to our country (again).

Oh, there were a few gold chain wearers there.
You could smell the Drakkar Noir from 4-5 cars away.

The vendors thing is something that I plan on talking to George Evans about (he asked me to be on the board for the IG). While it's a great event for a great cause, it's lacking a little in the vendor department.
Instead of going across the street and getting a burger, folks should be able to grab a couple of slices and a canoli or two. :D

Maybe next year we'll get some gold chains for Bosserman and have him unbutton his shirt half way.
Would that work for ya?
LOL

Back during the development of the Viper, Chrysler owned Maserati and Lamborghini. Lamborghini developed the aluminum casting process for the Gen 1 engine. Dick Winkles showed us a picture awhile back of the shipping crate with the Viper engine in it and stamped Lamborghini on the crate.:italy:
