A C5 wants to race me in the 1/8

Was at the track last night having some fun runnin my daily driver (05 SSR)
when a friend of a friend who knows I have a GTS challenges me to run him
against his 04 C5. Its an auto all stock except for a 150 shot...he put down a 7.93 last night, not bad. I've got 410 hp/450 tq at the wheels last dyno...

What do you guys think ??

Its a friendly bet, but he's a kid talking smack...

Oh, and I raced him last night in the SSR, and he thought he won until he found out he red-lighted...

I've seen stock vipers run from 8.36 to 7.70. It's driver. 60' and track prep. how are your skilz?

If he is consistant (maybe has sticky tires) you will probably get beat. It will be tough for you to run in the seven's. It would take a REAL good sixty foot for you and that is REAL hard even if you were not trying to get a good reaction time against an automatic car. At the very least I would show up with drag radials....best to bolt on a small nitrous shot with sticky tires.
