Does a B&M Shifter lower the shifter for a Gen II Viper or will it look completely the same? I'd like to lower the shifter an inch or so and would like to get a new short-throw shifter at the same time. I did a search but could not find an answer to this.

Thanks in advance,
Santo

I have the B&M shifter in my GenII. Same shifter height but much better feel. Looks completely stock.

If you bolt the original knob/rod to the B&M, it will the same height.
Or you can use an aftermarket knob (MGW) and screw it to the B&M rod for a lower height.

I have the B&M in my GTS and it lowers the overall height.
You will want to check out the shifter height with the old knob first after installing the B&M (before also adding a shorter knob).

You may have to use 2 hands to put it in reverse (less leverage).
